Roofs in Kangar: What to Know

After months of strong sun, the first heavy rain in Kangar often reveals cracks and roof joints nobody had noticed. If the ceiling of your home or shop has started dripping, do not wait for the next downpour. Send roof and ceiling photos on WhatsApp for an initial estimate.

Kangar is the state capital of Perlis, with rows of shophouses in the town centre and terrace estates around it. Perlis has a pronounced dry season early in the year, so roofs expand and contract under the heat before heavy rain tests them. Flat concrete roofs on shophouses and porches crack easily and hold standing water.
