Roofs in Raub: What to Know

A roof in Raub that has stood for decades may still look solid from the road, but its timber and joints tell a different story. Water marks that appear after heavy rain usually start at shifted tiles or rusting zinc. Before the problem spreads, take photos of the roof and the ceiling, then send them on WhatsApp for an initial estimate.

Raub is an inland town in western Pahang with older shophouses in the centre and many kampung houses and orchards around it. This hilly area gets frequent rain, so older tile and zinc roofs are constantly exposed to damp. Timber kampung houses often have trusses that need checking for rot.
