Roofs in Rompin: What to Know

Houses close to the sea in Rompin show rust early, especially on zinc screws and gutters. When the monsoon rain arrives, those small holes turn into drips in the living room and bedrooms. For an initial estimate, just take photos of the roof and the wet ceiling, then send them to us on WhatsApp.

Rompin is on Pahang's south-east coast, with fishing villages, kampung houses and small towns. Salty air from the South China Sea speeds up rust on zinc and metal, and the north-east monsoon brings heavy rain from roughly November to January. Older timber houses here often need their trusses checked for rot.
